No alarm clock, just the tantalizing aroma of freshly brewed coffee to wake you up. Breakfast awaits you in the salon with an array of warm croissants, crusty bread and soft brioches accompanied by fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals - a great start to the day.

Your guide awaits you, air conditioned car at the ready, to whisk you off to explore the french countryside.

You might visit a colourful open market, a medieval village, a Cathar Castle, a Cistercian Monastry or take a winding road through some spectacular scenery. The excursions last about 3 hours a day and are tailormade for each group.

Upon your return a tasty lunch will be awaiting you. Served outdoors (weather permitting) under the shade of the plane trees, you will be treated to a variety of crispy salads, home made patés and terrines, delicious tarts and quiches, all washed down with the fine wines of the Languedoc Roussillon.

After lunch, put your feet up, relax and enjoy a gentle cruise safe in the hands of René your host and captain.

As Emma meanders through the lovely french countryside, there might be locks to go up or maybe a chateau to stop at for a little wine tasting, ducks and swans to feed, every day is different.

Each evening we moor in a different place. A little village where you can wander around at your leisure or out in the calm of the vinyards where you can walk or cycle along the towpath to build up an appetite for your evening meal.

Coctails are served around 6pm- but the bar never closes.Cool beers, soft drinks, fine wines and spirits are always available.

Dinner is a gastronomic delight. Using all local fresh produce you will discover the best of French regional cooking.have a look at just one example of the dinner menu.
